Artist's Statement
Chris Goodheart — “My art focuses on personal experiences, integrating messages easily and not so easily discerned. I show familiar land, people and structures hoping to capture a bit of their magic and truth that are so easily taken for granted each day in our fast-pace world. My goal is to translate the unique qualities and diversities of our life in such a way that the viewer comes away with new avenues of seeing their own world.
“I am a native of Southern New Mexico. Art has always been an avenue of self-expression in my life. In 2000 I received my Bachelors of Fine Art in printmaking and painting from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. My poster was selected for the 2001 Wine Harvest Festival. Also I enjoy doing large-scale murals and custom pieces.”
